Enter Lockd Future Self Storage, a visionary new venture launched by Jamie and Paul Budding, who saw immense potential in this centrally located space. With its impressive footprint and structural capacity, it was the perfect canvas for a modern, customer-focused self storage facility—and the result is truly outstanding. This project marks the brothers’ first foray into the industry, complementing their existing business while opening a fresh income stream. Their aim? To build a high-quality, future-proof facility right in the city centre—one that would meet rising demand and stand out. Space Maximisation with Smart Design

To fully utilise the building’s potential, Kuboid engineered a two-tiered layout by incorporating mezzanine floors, unlocking significant rentable real estate. The result: 200 storage units spanning a range of sizes from 25 sq ft to 200 sq ft. This includes innovative double-stack lockers—perfectly suited not only for long-term renters but also for students and those seeking compact, flexible storage solutions. Security was non-negotiable. That’s why Lockd partnered with industry-leading specialists to ensure top-tier safety and efficiency:

  • ACTIVE CCTV  provided the  eyes on this project with their Hi Tech CCTV Cameras and software, a truly professional company who supplied and fitted the latest AI enabled CCTV system covering every square inch of the site.
